"Comfort, comfort my people, says your God."
                                                                      Isaiah 40:1
Quilts were made by many different people from many different
places to offer warmth and comfort to our family following Sailor
Kate's accident. It was an incredibly inspiring gesture that led
us to offer the same comfort to others in similar situations. If
you or your organization would like to join us in a quilt project,
email me at wendy@sailorkate.com . If you want to decorate a
square, I will send it to you. If you quilt, we are always looking
for people to put one together for us.
Our quilt from the Aug 99 Babycenter >
mommies was made for my dad soon after the
accident. Click

Colby's Quilt
In 2007, we learned of another family who
experienced a tragedy so much like ours that
the similarities are amazing. Another little
angel, Colby,  was called to Heaven in the same
exact manner that our Sailor Kate got her
wings. We saw an opportunity to return some
of the kindness shown to our family and asked
friends from far and wide to work together with
us on a quilt to be made for Colby's family. In
April 2008, we delivered the gift.

Rachel's Quilt
In 2008 we were contacted about another
family who experienced the same tragedy
when they lost their precious Rachel. The
lopez family of Pittsburg, California was
the next recipient of a Sailor Kate Ministry
quilt. We delivered this quilt to Rachel's
family in May of 2009. Click

Addison's Quilt
In 2009 we were contacted about another
family who experienced the same tragedy
with the loss of their sweet Addison. We put
together a Sailor Kate Ministry quilt for
Addison's family, too. We delivered this
quilt to Addison's family in June of 2010.

Maria's Quilt
We learned of a similar tragedy  that
occurred in Tennessee to the Chapman
family and resulted in the loss of
their sweet lil Maria. Many people
involved with Sailor Kate Ministry
made squares and this quilt was
assembled by Arlene Crant, of
Hendersonville, NC. It was sent to the
Chapman family in June of 2010.

Randall's Quilt
In 2009, a dear friend and coworker
experienced her own tragedy with
the loss of her son Randall. Our
community and Sailor Kate
Ministry friends joined together in
this sweet memory quilt for the
Ikedionwu family. Mrs. Shirley
Ikedionwu is shown here with one of
the talented seamstresses, Dee
Davis. Click

Addison's Quilt
In December of 2009, the Jones family
were blessed with the birth of their sweet
baby girl Addison Clark, and kept her here
with them for 17 days before she went to
Heaven to be with Jesus and cousin Sailor
Kate. Addison's mom Karla, sister Ryleigh,
Aunt Kelly and friend Heather were on hand
to accept this treasure in her memory.

Turner's Quilt
In 2009 the Clements family
experienced their own tragedy with
the loss of their sweet little
Turner. Our community and Sailor
Kate Ministry friends united to
make and present this memory quilt
to Turner's family. Turner's mom
Lisa, along with brother Bennett
and sister Abby are shown with the
quilt. Turner's sister Abby was a
friend of Sailor Kate. Click
